Eugene Flowers Obituary

Eugene “Gene” Alfred Flowers, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024, at the age of 77 in Bluffton, SC, surrounded by his loving family. Gene was born on September 15, 1946, in Monongahela, PA, to Vivian and Alfred Flowers.

Gene is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Flowers, whom he shared many cherished years. He is also survived by his adoring sisters, Barbara Ulens, Susan Flowers, and Roberta Flowers; his children, Ryan Flowers, Claudine Khare, Justin Flowers-Robinson, and Michelle Weber; stepchildren, Kristina Vilt, and Denise Harlacher; and many adorable grand and step grandchildren.

Gene was a distinguished graduate of Alderson Broaddus University, where he earned his degree in Chemistry in 1968. In 1983, Gene went on to establish his own successful investigation firm, Eugene Flowers Investigator, based in Poughkeepsie, NY. His dedication to his work and his clients was unmatched, earning him respect and admiration within his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Gene was a passionate individual with a zest for life. He was a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his enthusiasm for sports extended to his avid sports memorabilia collection. Beyond sports, Gene found joy in the intricate world of coin collecting, with a particular fascination for United States coins. Gene also had a love for travel, exploring destinations far and wide, always eager to experience new cultures and cuisines. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life, relishing in the company of loved ones over a glass of red wine or a cold pint of beer, indulging in seasonal pies, and an array of cheeses. Above all, his heart found its greatest fulfillment in the warmth and laughter shared with cherished friends and family.

To honor Gene’s remarkable life, a visitation service will be held at Sauls Funeral Home, located at 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910 on Tuesday, March 26th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association® in his memory.
