Tristan Swartz Obituary

Tristan Ian Swartz, died on April 7, 2024 at Savannah Memorial Hospital Trauma ICU following a tragic motorcycle accident on March 31st. He was 26 years old. The doctors and nurses were able to honor his life through organ donation. Because he took time to check that box at the DMV, the Mullet Man will live on through the people he saved. We were so grateful he was able to do this and it became our focus after he was lost to us.

Tristan leaves behind his beloved mother, Nicole Swartz, his sister, Emma, and so many other loving family members, which is too complicated to list. It’s alright though, Tristan thrived on complexity. You know who you are and you are all loved by him. Sometimes family is a choice. If Tristan chose you as a friend, you are family too and you are lucky and blessed to belong to this group. Everyone who even slightly knew him will have a smile and a soft spot in their hearts for this remarkable young man.

Tristan was also known by his friends as “Wheat Thin” and “The Mullet Man of the Lowcountry.” His mission in life was to bring laughter and fun to the world and maybe to get you to buy him a beer… PBR please! The mullet was magnificent! The American flag overalls were um…. sexy?!? He was always having fun and you had to smile when you saw him. Maybe you knew him as your barista at PJ’s or Corner Perk, dispensing coffee and smiles. Maybe you caught him singing some of his favorite songs doing karaoke at one of his favorite local bars. He could really sing and loved good music.

Tristan played hard, he loved harder, he dreamed big and lived his life the way he wanted. You couldn’t stay mad at him, so you might as well just love him. You will certainly never forget him. Tristan will live on in our hearts and through our memories and stories of his wonderful life. Also through the many people he saved with his generous donation of life. His eyes, his smile, his kind heart, his amazing mullet, and his beautiful soul will be missed by us all.

Mullet Man Forever.
