He was born in Savannah, GA on March 12, 1984. He was the son of James Ellis and Elaine Ihly Baker Jr. He was a graduate and Valedictorian of the 2002 Class at Thomas Heyward Academy. He was a Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was the Branch Manger of South Carolina Bank and Trust in Ridgeland, SC. He was a member of the Ridgeland Baptist Church. He was a member of the Jasper County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He was a board member for the Jasper County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. He was a avid Gamecock fan, enjoyed the Braves baseball, golf and playing softball. He is survived by his father and mother, James E. (Jimmy) and Elaine Ihly Baker Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; one brother, Jacob Ellis Baker of Ridgeland, SC; his fiancée, Fleming Duffie of Columbia, SC; his maternal grandparents, Claud and Jennie Lee Ihly of Beaufort, SC and his paternal grandmother, Louise Baker of Ridgeland, SC. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Ridgeland Baptist Church with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until the hour of the service on Wednesday at Ridgeland Baptist Church.
