Elyosius, 79, of Del Webb, Huntley, IL and formerly of Bluffton, SC passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. Born January 12, 1930 in Manhattan, NY to Ferne and Eleanor Mackey. Barbara met her husband Donald Elyosius in 1970, they enjoyed traveling together all over the United States and Canada in their mobile home. They also enjoyed traveling to Europe. She enjoyed reading, playing golf, watching baseball (Boston, Red Sox), football (New England, Patriots) and her dogs. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Cousins-Frechette; her step children, Donald and Kenneth Elyosius and Joan (Paul) Nelson; grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Cousins, Seth, Luke, Kenneth Jr. and Daniel Elyosius; Melissa Kulesa and Jeffery Seymour; great granddaughters, Emily and Natalie Kulesa and great grandsons, Caleb Cousins and Evan Smith; her two nephews, Chris and Mark Buttes and her niece, Lynda Sampson. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Elyosius and her son, James Scott and her sister, Joyce Buttes. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 30, 2010 with burial in St. Luke’s Memorial Gardens, Okatie, SC. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
