She was born on September 22, 1938 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Arthur Wright and Maggie Drake Wright. She was a Dietician previously employed by Jasper County General Hospital. She was a member of Second Euhaw Baptist Church where she served on the Charity Board and sang in the senior choir. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, C. Badese DeVore, Jr. of Pineland, SC; two sons, Eric (Vivian) DeVore of Levy, SC; Paul (Margaret) DeVore of Columbia, SC; five daughters, Beverly (Charles) Jones; Magalene DeVore; Brenda (Larry) DeVore; Betty DeVore and Brittany DeVore, all of Pineland, SC; two brothers, Harold (Mary) Solomon of Ridgeland, SC; Leroy Wright of New York City, NY; one sister, Margaret Williams of Newark, NJ and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah DeVore and son Adolph DeVore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Second Euhaw Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC with burial in Gillison Branch Cemetery in Pineland, SC. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm til 8:00 pm on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Ave., Ridgeland, SC.
