Name: Constance S. Cross Date: January 12th, 1927 - April 15th, 2010 Obituary: Constance S. Cross, 83 with the care of Hospice, died peacefully at her home in Sun City, South Carolina on April 15th, following a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. “Connie” had three children, Robert F. Devine IV, David R. Devine, Esq. (Rebecca), and Leslie C. Devine. Also surviving are her grandson, Collin Francis McGovern and her granddaughter, Colleen O’Leary Devine. Connie was born January 12, 1927, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the eighth of eleven children of Cornelius McClaren Spiller and Inez Marie Daniels. She was predeceased by seven of the Spiller family, Frederick McClaren Spiller, Patience Jane Spiller, Adelaide C. Spiller, Carol M. Spiller, William Daniels Spiller, Essie Elizabeth Spiller, Myrtle Laurel Spiller and is survived by Mary Alice Spiller, Phyllis Ann Spiller and Walter Woodrow Spiller plus numerous nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews. Also surviving is her best friend, Helen Stanko. The family, her joy in life, benefited from her smile, her generosity and her caring spirit. Her children benefited from her determination that they would have an opportunity to have a better life than she was afforded.
