He was born in Bennetsville, SC on May 29, 1947. He was the son of the late Jesse Griffeth Ferguson Jr. and Louise Tison Ferguson Long. He was a forester. He was General Manager of Ferguson Forest Products of Luray, SC. He was a Mason and a member of the Ridgeland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard and a former South Carolina Highway Patrolman. He is survived by his wife, Phoebie B. Ferguson of Ridgeland, SC; one son, W. Tison (Andrea) Ferguson Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; two brothers, Jesse G. (Mary Helen) Ferguson III of Brunson, SC and Frampton Zehe (Melanie) Ferguson of Estill, SC; his step father, Jacob Long of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Maryn, Cooper, Zoe, Liam, and Jared and his former daughter in law, Kenya Cooper. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Ridgeland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial in the Great Swamp Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8,Friday evening, April 30, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC and from 2 til 3, Saturday, May 1st in the Relief Society Room at the church.
