She was born in Norliner, NC on November 9, 1929 to the late Walter H. Melton and Norma Trotter Melton. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Sottile, her son, Walter M. Floyd, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Mike Floyd. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Floyd Cemetery, Tillman, SC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the hour of service at the cemetery.
