Alice was a loving mother who was adored by her 5 children and their spouses and the 6 grandchildren. She enjoyed power walking, swimming, bike riding, camping and the ocean. She was always an organizer and a leader. She was a Girl Scout troop leader, sold Tupperware and Avon because she loved interacting with others. Alice and Ken loved to travel the world and enjoyed cruising.
After moving to Sun City, she started a new craft designing domino holders, tissue boxes, coasters and ornaments. Shortly after, she began making one of a kind stuffed huggable soft cuddly bears that touched hundreds of lives. She participated in craft shows and then began donating them to the fire department, retirement homes and friends. She had pleasure in creating these bears and seeing the joyful expression on people’s faces as they received these treasures. Over the past few years she hand crafted 900+ bears. She enjoyed playing Dominos and cards with friends.
Her love and kindness will last forever and she has truly never left us, as she will forever remain in our hearts.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2,2019 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton.
