Allen Tindal

Allen Tindal, 82, widower of Jean Daring Tindal, died Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Ridgeland Nursing Center in Ridgeland, SC.

He was born in Varnville, SC on September 14, 1937 to the late Ernest William Tindal and Edna Thomas Tindal.

He was employed by Westinghouse for fourteen years and was a skilled carpenter working in construction for many years.  He was particularly proud of being involved in building the Savannah Civic Center.  He was also a small engine mechanic.  His favorite hobbies were fishing, crabbing, shrimping and gardening. His passion was spending time with his family whom he adored.

He attended the Grays Church of God of Prophecy in Grays, SC faithfully for many years until he was no longer able to attend because of his health.

He is survived by his son, Allen Tindal II (Lil) of Ridgeland, SC and daughter, Cindy M. Hiers of Grays, SC.  He was preceded in death by brothers, E. W. Tindal and Edison Tindal and sisters, Lucille Williams and Dorothy Griner.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Grays Church of God of Prophecy.
