Barry Sollish, 75, of Bluffton, SC passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home.
Barry was born April 10, 1944 in Newark, NJ to Joseph and Dora Sollish. He was a US Navy Veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and a retired US Postal Service employee. He was a life member of the East Brunswick, NJ Elks Lodge. He was an avid scratch golfer and enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia and coins.
Barry is survived by his wife, Margie Sollish; daughters, Brenda Sollish of Old Bridge, NJ and Kimberly Sollish-Herbst (John) of South River, NJ; sons, Thomas Nolan of Bluffton, SC and Michael Nolan of Holmes, NY; sister, Jane Golenbock (Rob) of New Town, CT; brother-in-law, Rob Clare of NJ; grandson, Jack Michael Nolan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Sollish and his sister, Roberta Clare.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:30 am in Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. Military honors will be rendered by the United State Navy.
