Bryan Jaudon Perry Jr. age 89 passed away at Beaufort Memorial Hospital on September 23, 2018.
Bryan was born in Ridgeland, SC on April 20, 1929 to the late B.J. Perry, Sr. and Blanch Carson Perry.
At age 15, Bryan entered Clemson, as the youngest induction, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the Army ROTC receiving the R. W. Simpson award for Best Cadet in the student body.
He owned Kitchen & Perry Equipment Manufacturing Company, a company designed to manufacture industrial ovens. Bryan’s design was used worldwide and he traveled internationally to install and instruct companies on the usage of his technique.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, SC.
Upon retirement he and his wife, Marjorie Palmer Perry, owned Dance Makers Inc., a national school of dance instruction and competition. His hobbies included boatbuilding, photography, hunting and fishing. He treated everyone with great respect and dignity and was a very kind and generous man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and son, Bryan Jaudon Perry III and daughter, Donna Perry Willis and grandchildren, Beth Perry and Abram McAlister. He is survived by his daughter, Patrice ‘Patti’ Perry McAlister of Okatie, SC; his brother, Albert T. Perry (Gloria) of St. Louis, MO; his sister, Caroline Bell of West Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Hannah Barber (Kyle), Sarah Stigall (Chad), Kimberly Willis, Bryan J. Perry IV (Kim) and great grandchildren, Eli Barber, Gavin Stigall, McKenzi Stigall, Allison Perry, Kailey Willis and Carson Willis.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland. The family will greet friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
