Candace Elizabeth Coil Halweg

Candace Elizabeth Coil Halweg, age 70, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Apple Valley, MN died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Duke University Hospital.

Mrs. Halweg was born on April 17, 1948 in Carroll, IA and grew up in Wall Lake, IA and Delaware, OH, the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Coil. She was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a degree in business. She later worked as an executive assistant with Blue Cross, Wells Fargo, and Thomson West. While living in Sun City, Bluffton, SC, Candace was active with the Croquet Club and Chorus. She was also a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church where she had participated with the choir.

Mrs. Halweg is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Roger Halweg; daughter, Jenifer Rheberg (Brian); brother, Richard Coil (Joann); and grandsons, Nathan and Jacob.

Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with a private funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research or the United Way of the Coastal Empire.
