Dale Edward Wright

Dale Edward Wright, passed away on May 10, 2019 at his home in Bluffton, losing his battle to cancer. Born in Skokie, IL on May 2, 1939. He attended Niles High School and graduated with degrees from University of Illinois and University of Wisconsin. With his certified public accountant degree he continued a successful financial career.

As he pursued new business opportunities, he moved to La Jolla, CA in 1980 which allowed him to enjoy his adventurous self. Skiing, hiking, cycling, tennis, golf, as well as covering many of the west coast states by motorcycle, and traveling to other countries.

Preceded in death by parents Helen and Edward Wright, brother David, and stepdaughter Amy Hughes. Survived by his wife Claudia, sister Louise Laske Benden of Mesa, AZ, stepdaughter Carrie Hughes of San Diego, CA, Stepson Brett Hughes of Del Mar, CA. Grandchildren Hayden Hughes and Jade Worthington of San Diego and great grandchildren George and Penelope Worthington. He was immediately at home in the active community of Sun City. Arriving in 2009 he quickly immersed into the welcoming atmosphere of fun and sincere friendships. He became a presence in many ways and will be notably missed as the condolences have attested to.
