David Thomas Bower

David Thomas Bower, age 75, of Hilton Head Island, SC died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Ridgeland Nursing Center.

Mr. Bower was born on February 23, 1943 in Dallas, TX, the son of the late Phillip and Ruth Bower. He was a graduate of Ferris State University where he was a member of the football team and ultimately earned a degree in advertising. Following his formal education he began his career in sales in the industrial brass industry. He started with the Anaconda Company where he worked for 20 years and later worked with Searle. Before moving to Hilton Head he retired from PMX Industries. Upon settling in the low country, David worked in real estate and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of Unity Church of Hilton Head where he was a Past President of the Board.

Mr. Bower is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Catherine M. Bower; sons, Scott Bower (Emili), Mike Bower (Hannah), and Steven Bower (Laurie); brother, John Bower (Mary Jane); and grandchildren, Madison, Isabelle, Mason, Jake, Caytleigh, and Camdyn.

A memorial service will be held at 11:45 a.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Unity of Hilton Head, 1300 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
