Ethel Fay Lollis passed away on Dec. 19th at the Palmettos in Okatie, SC.
She is survived by her eldest son Dennis R. Lollis, wife Bonnie of Sun City Hilton Head and Greg L. Lollis, wife Yukuri of Levi SC. Her daughter Susan Patrice Lollis died on December 20th one day after she passed. Ethel has four grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Lauren and Adrian. She has six great- grandchildren, Jordan, Emily, Issac, Janelle, Harlow and Alec.
She was a resident of Sun City Hilton Head since 2005. Born February 5, 1929 in St. Mary’s Kansas to Fredrick Reed Perry and Eva Clara (Sauvage) Perry. During the depression at a young age Ethel with her two older siblings, Roy Ulysses Perry and Opal Marie Perry, moved to Redlands CA with her parents. She worked as a usher in a movie theater, drug store lunch counter person and with her mother and father at the cafe/diner they owned in Redlands. She graduated from Redlands High School in 1947. After high school Ethel met Virgil Berry Lollis of Highlands CA. and married. After their second child was born they moved to Yucaipa CA where Virgil worked at Nash Cleaners which he later bought. Ethel stayed at home as a homemaker until the children were old enough to go to school. She worked in the school cafeteria and at her husbands business. After her son Greg was born and in school she went back to work as a cafeteria worker. Her husband Virgil passed away in 1977. She was active in Women's Club, P.O.A., and Methodist women’s Circle. After moving to Sun City in 2005 Ethel joined St Luke’s Methodist Church and volunteered on a weekly basic at the Habitat For Humanity Re-Store until early 2018.
