Heyward Sullivan

Heyward Sullivan, age 81, a previous resident of Ridgeland, SC passed away in Summerville, SC surrounded by his Coastal Center family and friends, where he spent most of his life, on August 29, 2018.

Heyward was born in Ridgeland, SC on November 14, 1936 to the late William A. Sullivan and Helen Taylor Sullivan Ingram.  He became a consumer/member of the Coastal Center on March 20, 2009. Heyward enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and I Love Lucy.  He also enjoyed bird watching.  Heyward was loved by many and was affectionate towards his staff and nurses.  Heyward loved engaging in various activities and socializing with peers.

Heyward is survived a brother and  many cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Ridgeland Cemetery.

Heyward, you leave us with memories

That no one can steal

And you leave us with sorrow

That time alone can heal

If we could only build a stairway

From our sadness and pain

We'd climb it and bring you

Back to us again

You'll never be more than

A moment apart

For our memories will keep you alive in our hearts.
