James "Jim" A. Ford Obituary

Jim Ford passed away on March 19, 2019 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tino Ford; sister, Peggy Ford; sister, Jeannie Piel; and brother, David Williams, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Houston, TX to Ernest J. Ford and Glenna Ruth Holman.

Jim and Tino moved to Hilton Head in 1979 from Houston. Jim was a talented musician and woodworker. Jim had a very loving and generous heart. He was an Eagle Scout, avid sports fan, and also enjoyed more intellectual pursuits such as chess.

Cremation by Sauls Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1179 Ridgeland, SC 29936.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Kelly’s Tavern, 11 Buckingham Plantation Drive Suite #B, Bluffton, SC.
