Joseph William Groff

On August 8th, 2019, Joseph W. Groff gained his angel wings with beloved wife, Mary Ellen by his side.  Joe is survived by his two children Sara Kristine and Mark Winston, grandson Jacob Jackson, 7 granddogs.  He grew up in Montgomery County, MD where he graduated from Poolesville High School and was a member of the Future Farmers of America.  As a student of agriculture, he worked on a beef and dairy farm. Joe also served in the U.S Army overseas during Vietnam where he was a skilled rifle marksman. Joe’s greatest accomplishment was being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mass will be held at St. Francis by the Sea on Hilton Head Island on August 19, 2019 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joe’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation www.parkinson.org/
