Julia (Judy) Turner Baughman Kerr, 94, of Bluffton died Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Judy was born on April 29, 1924 in Statesboro, GA, the daughter of Henry Grady Turner and Maude Hart. She married Murray Donald Baughman Sr. on September 29, 1942 and they moved to Bluffton, SC in 1949. She was active in the PTA of The Original Bluffton High School. She was a Life Member of Edgar Mole Chapter No. 239, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of The Bluffton United Methodist Church. Judy was an original Board Member of Bluffton Meals on Wheels and served as Chairman for a number of years. She was one of the original founding members of the Calhoun Station Thrift Shop. She was a retired LPN and worked at the original Candler Hospital in Savannah where she met and married J.E. Homer Kerr in 1974.
Judy is survived by her children, Murray Donald Baughman Jr. (Ayers), John E. Kerr (Pat), Kay Kerr Fortner (Perb), and William (Billy) Kerr; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Bluffton Cemetery, Bluffton, SC.
