Otis Johnny Cooler

Otis Johnny Cooler, 81, of Hardeeville, SC passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his home.

Otis was born March 4, 1938 in Hardeeville to the late Sam Otis Cooler and Essie Brabham Cooler. He worked as a carpenter and served in the SC National Guard. He was also a member of Red Dam Baptist Church, where he attended until his health no longer allowed it.

Otis is survived by his sons, John Cooler (Winnie), Wade Cooler, both of Hardeeville, and Sam Youmans of Beaufort, SC; daughters, Nancy Butler (Kevin), Tonya Newton (BoBo), LaTrell Spikes (Ronald), and Lesa Horton, all of Hardeeville; grandchildren, Eric Butler, Craig Butler, Brandon Butler, Darion Wiggins, Adrion Newton, Tiffany Cooler, Ron Spikes, Savanna Spikes, Erica Horton, Reece Horton, James Youmans, and Nicholas Youmans; and great-grandchildren, Hagan Spikes and T.R. Horton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Lee Cooler, and sisters, Dollie Mae Cooler and Lucille Stone.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Red Dam Baptist Church Cemetery, 488 Red Dam Church Road, Hardeeville. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm at the church.
