Sharon Ann Roseland (nee Tiemann), born in Providence, Rhode Island, died after an extensive illness on August 13, 2019 at the age of 71. She passed away peacefully in her home in Bluffton, SC.
Sharon is survived by her two children (Stephen and Paul); two daughters-in-law (Kathy and Jenny); three siblings (Arthur, Ed, Lane); eleven grandchildren (Brian, Leslie, Alexa, Jake, Nathan, Alec, Marcus, Emiley, Chase, Zachary, Cooper); and 3 great-grandchildren (Grant, Hadley, Harrison). She is predeceased by her husband, James Roseland; and her mother, Teresa Tiemann.
Sharon was born on December 19, 1947. She married her husband, James, on April 4th, 1966 and they were married for 51 years. Together they settled in St. Louis, MO, where they raised their two boys until they retired in 2015, and moved to Bluffton, SC to enjoy the sunshine and plenty of golf.
During her career, Sharon was a social worker, professional dog breeder and trainer, and worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and Estee Lauder as a professional make up artist. During her retirement, Sharon was active in her community and loved to golf, take art classes, play pickleball and cards with her close friends.
Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, August 15. The visitation will be from 5 to 6 pm, with the funeral immediately to follow. The service will take place at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Society and Hospice of the Low Country
