Catherine Jean Tuten

Catherine "Jean" Beckmann Tuten, 76, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Savannah, GA. She was born in Atlanta, GA on July 22, 1938 to the late Martin George and Agnes Ann Kehoe Beckmann. Jean grew up in Savannah, GA. She was a homemaker and traveled the world with her husband and children with the US Army, before settling in Estill, SC some thirty years ago. She is survived by her husband of forty two years, James "Jay" E. Tuten of Estill, SC; children, Kimberly Ann Ratliff (Robert) of Hardeeville, SC; Dennis Ray Shreve (Tammy) of Rincon, GA; Shawn Michael Shreve (Connie)of Ellabell, GA; Anna Leigh Rutledge of Silver Creek, GA; Lori Ann Tuten (Rick) of Brunson, SC; grandchildren, Leah Ratliff, Jessica Ratliff, Gabrienne Mingledorff, Faith and Nicholas Shreve, James and Jamieson Shreve, Jennifer Rutledge, Tiffany Tuten and Amber Roland; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Ann Anderson and Margaret Maria Woodcock. A memorial visitation was held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Avenue, Ridgeland, SC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Steepbottom Cemetery in Furman, S.C. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations be made to Jean's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.A memorial visitation was held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W.
