Evelyn P. Scott

Evelyn P. Scott, 76, of Callawassie Island, SC and formerly of Montgomery County, MD died Saturday, April 23, 2016. Mrs. Scott was born on September 25, 1939 in Glen Campbell, PA, the daughter of the late Peter Paul Peles and Margaret Singel Peles. She was a graduate and Valedictorian of Purchase Line High School. She worked as the Program Director of the “E” Award Program at the White House, from the John F. Kennedy administration through the Clinton administration. Outside of work, she was an avid golfer and caregiver to her family. Mrs. Scott is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Scott; daughter, Audrianne Lee (Patrick) of Garden Grove, CA; son, Bradley J. Scott of Eugene, OR; granddaughter, Ashleigh M. Adams of Las Vegas, NV; siblings; Paul Robert Peles (wife Regina); Margaret Dolores Lyles (Rupert); Nancy Jean Bishop; Kathleen Rose Breeze; Barbara Ann Montgomery (Roy); Peter Peles, Jr., (Carol); Miriam Peles Oaks (Edward). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vasil Bernard Peles, James Ronald Peles, and David Allen Peles.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
