Kathleen L. Brennan

Kathleen  L. “Kathy” Brennan, age 77, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Chagrin Falls, OH died the 28th day of August 2024.

Kathy is the daughter of William and Rhoda Peate. She met the love of her life, Tom at Huntington Beach and a year later on July 11, 1969 they were married.  After graduating from the Ohio State University, she began her career in Medical Illustration.  Art has always been a passion and brought Kathy delight to capture familiar scenes in watercolor.

Kathy loved teaching children and earned a Master’s Degree from Kent State University.  In retirement she enjoyed gardening and working at The Sandbox Children’s Museum on Hilton Head Island.  Kathy took great pride and joy entertaining friends and family at their Leamington residence.  Kathy had a strong faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and enjoyed attending Central Church.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas P. Brennan, daughters, Kelly Williams (James) of Hudson, OH and Colleen Morrow, (Austin) of Chagrin Falls, OH: Brothers Thomas Peate (Marni) of Rocky River, OH and William Peate (Lynne) of Marblehead, OH; and grandchildren, Cassidy Williams, Brennan Williams, David Morrow, and Tommy Morrow.

A private service will be held at Six Oaks Cemetery, Sea Pines Plantation, Hilton Head Island, SC.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Central Church, 975 William Hilton Parkway, HHI, SC 29928, or The Sandbox Children’s Museum, 80 Nassau Street, HHI, SC 29928.
