Linda Carol Burrer

Carol Burrer (Bristow), 68, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Toledo and Elyria, OH, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2014 after an 8 year battle with breast cancer. Carol was born November 15, 1946 in Oak Ridge, TN to June and Avery Bristow. Carol worked as a nurse in both Elyria, OH and Toledo, OH. She was devoted to caring for others and putting her family first. Carol most enjoyed holidays, family vacations and cooking dinner for family on Monday nights. Carol was preceded in death by her daughters, Julie (Burrer) and Missy (Anderzack), her brothers Dan and Bill Bristow, and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wayne Burrer, her son Wayne Burrer Jr. (Gayle), son in law Andy Anderzack, beloved grandchildren Ryan and Drew Burrer, Matt and John Moore, Dominick, Danielle, Sam and Jake Anderzack, extended family and many friends. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 10:30 am St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC 29909, with a showing beginning at 9:30 am at the church. An additional memorial service will be offered on Saturday, December 6 at 11:00 am at Zion United Methodist Church, 43720 Telegraph Rd. Elyria, OH 44035.
