Adrienne Kennedy Marscher

Adrienne Kennedy Marscher of Hilton Head Island, SC, died peacefully at home on Calibogue Cay in Sea Pines Plantation on Sunday, November 22, 2009. She will be missed by her family and treasured friends. Adrienne was born on March 7,1930, in Longmeadow, MA to Robert J. and Madeline A. Kennedy. She grew up in West Hartford and Black Point, CN. She graduated from Goucher College in 1952. After graduation she went to work for Arthur D. Little Inc., in Cambridge, MA. In June of 1956, she married William F. Marscher II of Beaufort, SC. After their marriage they moved to Marblehead, MA where she was active in Grace Episcopal Church in Salem, MA and Corinthian Yacht Club and many other community and philanthropic organizations. Adrienne and her family moved to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1969. While on Hilton Head, Adrienne worked in the insurance business for 35 years and retired from Carswell of Carolina in December 2007.
