Alan Norris Sym-Smith

Alan Norris Sym-Smith, 76, died July 1, 2008 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born July 31, 1931 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was the son of Claude and Stella Norris Sym-Smith.He was a retired International Business Developer. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge. He loved to travel and he loved his family and friends. He was a Catholic. He had been an active volunteer for Deep Well for many years.He is survived by his wife, Lorraine S. Sym-Smith of Hilton Head Island, SC; one son, Douglas A. (Evelyn) Sym-Smith of Garland, TX; two daughters, Deborah S. (Kenyon) Mills of Charleston, WVA and Belinda S. (Mark) MacKimm of Rome, GA; three brothers, Ian Sym-Smith of Philadelphia, PA, Alistair Sym-Smith and Donald Sym-Smith both of Buenos Aires, Argentina; one sister, Sheila Jacobs of Buenos Aires, Argentina and six grandchildren, Jonathan Mills, Douglas MacKimm, Ashtyn Mills, Allie MacKimm, Ian Sym-Smith and Maggie Sym-Smith.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Pope Avenue, Hilton Head Island, SC at 10:00 am, on Monday, July 7, 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Deep Well Project, P.O.
