Alanna Bailey Ward

Alanna Bailey Ward, age 22 of Hardeeville, SC, passed away on Friday October 22, 2021. She was born to William Mickey Ward and Amber Blake Steedley on October 2, 1999.

Alanna is survived by her 4 month old daughter Harper Avery Hawley, significant other Dalton C Hawley, mother Amber B Steedley, sister Adrianna M DaSilva, special father figure Uncle Joey Ward, brother Nathaniel James Nicholas as well as 3 other siblings, grandparents Jimmy and Rainie Steedley, Mickey Ward, Jody Ward, Sandra (Mark) Jonas, five uncles and two aunts and a host of dear cousins and friends.

Alanna was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents James “Papa” and Waldeana “Grandma” Steedley.

Alanna, like her favorite flower, was strong, wild, and resilient, beautiful, delicate and comforting. Alanna was the essence of a sunflower…. Our sunflower.

Alanna, a 2018 graduate of Rosamond High, was a compassionate spirit whose passion was first and foremost caring for her new baby daughter. A loving and devoted mother, sister, daughter and friend who exuded beauty from the inside out; she brought joy to all those around her.

Her funeral will be held this Saturday October 30, 2021 at Sauls Funeral home in Bluffton, SC. Visitation begins at 11:00 am followed by services at 12:00 pm. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a Gofundme that has been set up to help care for her daughter Harper. (gofundme/73653b3d)
