Albert “Bud” Krug, age 94, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Wyckoff, NJ died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Bloom of Hilton Head. Mr. Krug was born on April 14, 1922 in Ridgewood, NJ, the son of the late Albert P. Krug and Florence Zabriskie Krug. He was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a bomber pilot during World War II and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. He worked with Becton-Dickinson and Company where he retired after 35 years of service. While living in Hilton Head he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island and was active with the Navy League.
Mr. Krug was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley F. Krug. He is survived by his son, Albert E. Krug, Jr. (Marla); daughter, Karen E. Krug; and grandchildren, Jason, Jesse, and Dustin. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
