Aldo Vincent Notargiacomo

August 13, 1940 — November 24, 2016

Aldo Vincent Notargiacomo age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thanksgiving morning on November 24, 2016. He was born August 13, 1940, the son of Biago and Gesualda Notargiacomo, in Floral Park, New York. He is survived by his three children, Teresa Marie Crofoot, Mario Vincent Notargiacomo and Sandra Elaine Higdon and six grandchildren; Alexander Blaze Crofoot, Amanda Nicole Crofoot, Dominic Giacomo Crofoot, Diana Marlette Crofoot, Danielle Kristin Notargiacomo and Ayden William Higdon and has a surviving sister Adrianna Napoli. Aldo’s youth was spent in Italy, then moved to the United States and was raised in Washington, D.C. Aldo attended Sacred Heart grade school and graduated High School at Gonzaga in D.C. He received his Bachelor of Science at American University. Aldo worked for 35 years as a research biologist in Cardiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington, D.C. After retirement Aldo moved to Sun City, South Carolina where he enjoyed all facets of his life especially all the activities that Sun City offered. Aldo was an avid softball, tennis, pickle ball player as well as golfer. Aldo loved music, dancing, and many other arts that are displayed is his paintings, sculptures, and stained glass. Aldo loved to travel and has experienced many beautiful and far reaching locations the earth has to offer. In his retirement years he volunteered at CAPA of Bluffton and was very active at the Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC where he was a docent. His celebration of life service will be held on January 13, 2017 at the Church of the Cross at 11 a.m. where his ashes will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donation to be made in Aldo’s name to either St Jude’s Children hospital or CAPA of Bluffton.
