Aldona Tripka

March 4, 1921 — September 4, 2020

Aldona Tripka, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020.

Born in Luzerne, PA in 1921 and raised in Kingston, PA, Aldona settled in Garwood, NJ with her family in 1941.  A Registered Nurse, she served in WWII, stationed in Colorado and Arizona, attaining the rank of lieutenant.  After the war, she worked in various North Jersey hospitals before settling down as a homemaker.

Aldona enjoyed doing volunteer work for St. Anne’s Parish in Garwood, was a member of the Rosary Society, and was also active in the Garwood Woman’s Club.  Upon moving to Bluffton, she was a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity Resale Store.  She took great pride in her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Tripka who died in 1995, brothers Albert Regal and Tony Regal, sisters Helen Savistsky, Florence Bernosky, and Amelia Wrhel.   Surviving are her son, Michael Tripka and wife Juliana, four Grandchildren, Andy, Katie Rapach, Sarah, Amy and 3 Great Grandchildren, Brooke Rapach, Connor and Collin Skinner, nieces, nephews, Grand nieces and nephews, and Great-Great nieces and nephews

Funeral services are private.  Interment will be at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
