Alexander Martin €Œalex†Colleran

Alexander Martin "Alex" Colleran, 61 of Bluffton died Friday, July 18, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Colleran was born in Augusta, GA on June 8, 1953, the son of the late Martin Clayton Colleran and Peggy Melton Colleran. He moved to Hilton Head in 1963, when his father Marty was hired by Charles Fraser to oversee golf course construction in Sea Pines Plantation. Alex married Margaret Ann Davidson, "7/8/78" on Hilton Head, where they lived prior to moving to Bluffton in 1988. He was a gifted woodworker and cabinetmaker, operating as Full Circle Woodworking for over 25 years. He also loved riding his Harley with his wife, Margret Ann. Alex had many passions, in this order: "God first, family 2nd, and everything else after that." Alex is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret Ann; sons, Clayton Colleran and wife Grayson of Bluffton, Charles "Rett" Colleran and wife Erin of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Avalyn "Avie", and Sloan Colleran. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26th, 2014 at Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910.
