Alfred A. Del Vecchio

Alfred A. Del Vecchio, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born March 30, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Sarah Scria Del Vecchio.He moved to Hilton Head three and one-half years ago from Shoreham, NY.He was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a World War II veteran, a beautician and an avid golfer. He enjoyed people and loved life.He is survived by a son, Ronald (Jane) Del Vecchio, of Vernon, CT; a daughter, Sarah Jane (Frank) Mackay of Daufuskie Island, SC; a brother, Eugene Del Vecchio of Troy, NY; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.The family will receive friends at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
