Alice Birdwell Schanen, 95 of Hilton Head, SC died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at home. She was born in Red Boiling Springs, TN. Alice was preceded in death by her husband E.A. Schanen and is survived by daughters Susan and Billie Jean Schanen, son Richard Kelly Schanen, daughter Sandy and her husband Dick Sanders, and son Edward Keith Schanen and wife Marylee.In addition, Alice is survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation or Hospice and Pallative Care Foundation. Services to be held at a later date in Gallatin, TN.
