Alice S. Zoda

Alice S. Zoda, 88, of Sun City Hilton Head, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2008 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center. Her loving husband and best friend of 67 years, Frederick A. Zoda, was by her side.Born and raised in Eaton, Ohio, Mrs. Zoda met her husband while employed by the U.S. government and attending business school in Washington, DC. They were married on Halloween Day, 1940, and raised three loving daughters. She was an avid golfer, bridge player and accomplished seamstress. The Zodas resided in Ewing, NJ for 35 years before moving to Sun City in 1996. Mrs. Zoda was a member of Hopewell Valley Golf Club and volunteered for the Central New Jersey Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, and worked as a secretary for Hamner Electronics in Pennington, NJ.Mrs. Zoda is survived by her husband Fred, daughters, Barbara A. Mason and husband, Frank of Georgetown, KY, Carol a Hurtt and husband, Steve of University Park, MD, and Suzanne M. Zoda and husband, Ed Whitlock of Villa Rica, GA; grandchildren, Andrew and Catherine Mason, Michael, Eric and Brian Hurtt, Adam and Matthew Cohen and eight great grandchildren.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew
