Allick Wyllie Inglis, Jr., 95, of Bluffon, SC, departed this life on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born May 16, 1923, the son of Allick Wyllie Inglis and Ora Durden Inglis of Jacksonville, FL. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Helen McCullough Inglis and by a son, Edgar Andrew Inglis. He is survived by a son Allick Wyllie Inglis III, his wife Jane Moloney Inglis and their children Allick W. Inglis IV and Elizabeth Inglis Connor; a daughter Helen Inglis Goodman, her husband William Durell Goodman, Jr. and their children Kathryn Goodman Cooler and William D. Goodman III; his late son Ed’s wife, Lori Wolfe Inglis, and Ed’s children with Mary Wyse Hoffman: Alison Inglis Lankford and her son William M. Robinson, Andrew L. Inglis, Paige S. Inglis and John B. Inglis; a son Robert Durden Inglis, his wife Mary Anne Williams Inglis and their children Robert D. Inglis, Jr., Mary Ashton Inglis, McCullough Inglis Blessing, M. Andrews Inglis and S. Meade Inglis; a son Richard McCullough Inglis, his wife Amy Yarborough Inglis, and their children Eric R. Inglis and H. Meredith Inglis; and great grandchildren R. deSaussure Connor, T. Wyllie Connor, Ella L. Cooler, Dorothy H. Cooler, Layla J. Goodman, William D. Goodman IV and William M. Robinson.
Al trained as a Navy pilot in World War II, worked as an industrial engineer with Union Camp Corporation in Savannah, GA, and was a long time member of the Church of the Cross in Bluffton.
Services and internment at the Church of the Cross, Bluffton, SC at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
