She was born in Savannah, GA on October 9, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Remelle Moore DuPuis.She was co owner, along with her husband, Louis F. Davis, of the original Superior Cleaners of Hardeeville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville. She was a member of the Edgar Mole Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former substitute teacher for Hardeeville High School.She is survived by her husband, Louis F. Davis of Hardeeville, SC; one son, Al (Kathy) Davis of Varnville, SC; two grandchildren, Gene Davis of Crockettville, SC and Shannon Davis of Modock, SC; four great grandchildren, Mason, Evan, Josh and Summer Davis. She was predeceased by her brother, John H. Moore.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville with burial in the Purrysbury Cemetery, Hardeeville, SC. The family will receive friends from 3 til 5 pm, Friday, January 11, 2008 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville, P.O. Box 522, Hardeeville, SC 29927.
