Alpheus Edward Keller Ii

Alpheus Edward Keller, II of Bluffton, SC died August 18, 2012 at the age of 63. Al was born in Wilkinsburg, PA to the late Caroline and Alpheus Keller and grew up near Philadelphia. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1971 where he met and married his wife, Janis and received his MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University. Al served in senior management positions in several New Jersey banks and had a successful career in the fixed income trading divisions of Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers on Wall Street. He and Janis moved to Hilton Head in 1995 where Al continued with various business ventures. He was an avid golf enthusiast and enjoyed many rounds with his friends. Al had been a realtor with Gateway Realty in Bluffton since 2001 and was serving as a Director on the Boards of Springleaf Finance Corporation. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Henry, and in addition to his wife is survived by his sister-in-law Wendy Keller, his brother-in-law Stephen (Jenny) Reed, many nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many beloved friends. A memorial service will be held August 21st at Grace Community Church, 450 Spanish Wells Road on Hilton Head at 11:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Keller Family Scholarship Fund, Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 338, Fallsington, PA 19058 where Al graduated from high school and where his parents and brother taught for a combined 80 years or to the charity of one
