Amanda Rene Cox

Amanda Rene Cox, 50, of Beaufort, SC, wife of Yancy C. Cox, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home.

Amanda was born March 1, 1971 in Beaufort to Andrew Van Note and Janelle Roberts Van Note. She was a co-owner of Cox Handy Man Service and was employed by Food Lion Grocery. She attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Amanda loved the outdoors, especially fishing and shrimping on the river.

In addition to her husband, Amanda is survived by her parents of Beaufort; daughters, Samantha Cox (David) of Beaufort, Courtney Cox of Syracuse, NY, Helen Cox of Beaufort, and Caitlyn Cowen of Beaufort; sister, Pamela Van Note of Beaufort; and one grandson, Niklaus Cox.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 1:00 pm—4:00 pm at the Moose Lodge, 350 Broad River Blvd, Beaufort, SC.

Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with arrangements.
