Amy Lynn Kleckner

Our beloved Amy passed away suddenly on October 13, 2021, in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

She was a devoted daughter to her father, Steven, and dear sister to Joshua; she was preceded in death by her mother, Ina. Amy also was an adored niece and cousin to many in her family, and she was an especially loving aunt to the many little ones in her life. She was, of course, the perfect partner in crime to her shih tzu, George.

Amy was proudly born in Hammond, Indiana, but these days she called both Chicago and Hilton Head home. A graduate of Hood College, in Frederick, Maryland, Amy led a brilliant career in the fields of advertising and marketing, most notably her long tenure at Chicago agency Leo Burnett and most recently her senior leadership role at Landor & Fitch. She told the truth to her clients, and those clients became her friends. Amy touched countless lives with her quick wit, loving nature and deep loyalty; to say she is survived by scores from Chicago to Hilton Head to the other side of the Earth is more fact than exaggeration.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks for donations to Gilda’s Club Chicago, an organization close to Amy’s heart.

Memorial service to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13, at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 126 E. Chestnut St., Chicago, IL 60611 .
