Amy O'Neal

Amy O’Neal of Ridgeland, SC passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2026 following a brief illness. She was 57.

Born on December 2nd in Winchester, TN, Amy was the daughter of Howard Hall & Anne Butler. Amy graduated high school from St. Andrews Sewanee and attended the University of Tennessee before starting her family. She was known for her big heart, sense of humor, generosity, and strong will. And will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and outgoing nature to all she encountered.

She is survived by her grieving husband Gene Baldwin, her beloved daughter Blake Elrod (Brandon Elrod), her dear sisters Jane Ford (Dale Ford) & Bettye Amos, and countless other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by both parents.

A celebration of life will be held in Chattanooga, TN in the following weeks with more information and details to come.

To honor Amy, her daughter encourages well-wishers to donate to your local animal or women’s shelter or asks that loved ones honor her memory by doing acts of kindness for others.

Amy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
