Andrew James Van Note, 79 of Beaufort, SC, husband of Janelle Van Note passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Andy was born March 22, 1945 in Neptune City, NJ to Edward and Catherine Van Note.

He served in the Marine Corp for 13 years until he was honorably discharged. He joined the Fire Department stationed on Parris Island, where he retired 20 years later. During his free time, he enjoyed shrimping and fishing. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward; Sister Barbara Doremus; and his daughter Amanda Cox.

In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by his sister Maureen Carlson of Florida: his daughter: Pamela Van Note; his son-in-law: Yancy Cox (Rebekah); four grand-daughters: Courtney Cox, Samantha Chipman-Cox (David), Caitlyn Cowen and Helen Cox; and his great grandchildren: Niklaus and Velena Cox all of Beaufort.

A Celebration of life will be held July 27, 2024 from 2-4pm at The Moose Lodge located at 350 Broad River Blvd, Beaufort S.C. 29906.
