Ann Cuthbert (Ma D) Pinckney Daniel, widow of Charles Winton Daniel, Sr., passed away after a brief illness on December 26, 2024. Ann was born on February 2, 1929 to the late Eustace Bellinger Pinckney and Ruedelle Horry Pinckney in Jasper County, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Ridgeland High School in 1946. Ann was employed by Palmetto Electric for 25 years.
She was a member of the Aline McTeer chapter of the Daughters of the King at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a devoted Christian and served as treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Jasper County and South Carolina Historical Society.
She is survived by her daughter in love, Helen Anderson Daniel, granddaughters, Amy Evelyn Daniel and Stacy Ann Daniel Woods (Adam) of Ridgeland, South Carolina. One grandson, Charles Winton “Trey” Daniel III (Cory). Five great grandchildren, Olivia May Woods, Allison Lee Woods, Ellie Ann Woods, Charles Winton “Danny” Daniel IV, and Colton James Daniel. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard Pinckney and Heyward Pinckney. Ann was preceded in death by a son, Charles Winton “Danny” Daniel Jr. Also two sisters, Ruedelle “June” Parry and Caroline Massey, brothers Eustace "BB" Pinckney, Jr., Elias Pinckney, Sr., Jimmy Pinckneyand David Pinckney. Also known as “Ma D” to an abundance of nieces and nephews, she loved her family immensely to include her many friends.
A service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (Grahamville) at 10:00 AM on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Visitation will be from 8:45am to 9:45am prior to the service and burial immediately following the funeral at the Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Grahamville.
