Anne M. Jeger, 84, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, after a short battle with cancer.She was born April 14, 1927, in Altluneberg, Germany to Marie Hemeyer and Friedrich Fust.She immigrated to the United States in December, 1947, and met her future husband on the ship.She married Karl Gerhard Jeger in March, 1952, in New Jersey. He passed away in November, 1978. They lived and raised their family in Elizabeth, Lake Hiawatha, and Denville, New Jersey. She was an active member of the Cosmopolitan Club.Anne worked for a publishing company in New York City and Dell Publishing Company and International Paper Company in New Jersey before retiring in 1985. During her retirement she lived on Hilton Head Island, Dunnellon, Florida, and Bluffton.Anne enjoyed gardening, traveling, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and crossword puzzles. She was very creative and made many blankets, hats, scarves, and handbags for friends, family, and hospice patients.In addition to many New Jersey, Hilton Head Island, Florida, and Virginia friends, Anne is survived by her children, Gary Jeger (Dot) of Bluffton, Diane Modiste (Sidney) of Granite Bay, California, and Dot
