Anne Martin Hart Ellis

Anne Martin Hart Ellis passed away peacefully Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 25, 1939, and is the daughter of Clifford and Emma Hart and wife of her late husband Howard L. Ellis. She died due to complications surrounding the leukemia which she battled for over fifteen years.

Anne began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Union Camp of Savannah and continued her career with May River Academy and Hilton Head Preparatory Schools for over forty-two years. A resident of the Lowcountry her entire life she was a staple in the Bluffton and Hilton Head communities. She was an active member of the Bluffton Garden Club and an avid supporter of Tidelands Hospice of Hilton Head Island.

Anne is survived by her daughter Anne M. Ellis, her son Howard L. Ellis Jr. and his wife Lisa along with her brother in law Richard C. Ellis and his wife Barbara.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Thursday May 18th at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. Graveside services will be held at 3pm on Sunday May 21st at the Bluffton Cemetery.
