Anne D. Kravitz, our "Omi", went to be with her Father in Heaven on Thursday June 5, 2014. Anne lived with her husband and best friend of 38 years, Howie, in Riverbend for the past seven years. Previously, she resided in Princeton Junction, NJ, where she worked and raised her family for 22 years. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Wannaque, NJ.
At the time of her passing, Anne was the Marketing Director and co-owner, along with her husband, of an international insurance brokerage. She traveled extensively around the world for both business and pleasure. She was an avid reader, especially on history and world cultures. She enjoyed the fellowship of her friends in Riverbend, the Bluffton community, and the country and world abroad. She treasured her family, especially her seven grandchildren, deeply and dearly. Anne loved Christ; and by the transforming work of His spirit, she empathetically cared for others, and served as her best friend's "true moral compass".
Anne's surviving family include her husband; two children Jared (Dorren) Kravitz of Knoxville, TN, and Rebecca (Brad) Keisling of Bluffton; grandchildren Ashleigh, Hannah, Braden, Ella and Adelyn Keisling, and Jack and Katherine Kravitz; parents Edward and Lucille Duetsch of New Bern, NC; and siblings Edward (Esther) Duetsch of Buffalo, NY, and Marjory (Rick) Praml of Winchester, VA.
