Anne Carolyn Mallard Veneto

Anne Carolyn (Mallard) Veneto, 90 formally of North Quincy, MA passed away May 15, 2013 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was born in Summerville, SC to the late Gertrude Hucks and William D. Mallard. She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic and her brother, William Daniel "˜Dan'. She is survived by her son Peter and wife Helen Veneto of Okatie, SC; daughter Beth Veneto Martin of Savannah, GA; and son Dominic "˜Donnie' Veneto of Norwell, MA; sister Doris (W.D.) Blackmon; sister Ann Rogers; and sister in law Sarah Mallard; four grandchildren, Julie Veneto-llanes, Christopher M. Veneto, Melissa Martin Sammons and Alison Veneto-Grady, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Carolyn retired from the New England Telephone Co after a long career starting as a part time operator and eventually retiring from a full time management position. Her life was filled with faith, resiliency, and an unwavering commitment to unconditional love and caring for those who knew her best. Good cooks open restaurants, but great cooks feed families - there was none better than Carolyn! A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 20 at 1:00 pm at Historic St. Peters Catholic Church, 710 Carteret St. in Beaufort with burial at Evergreen cemetery in Beaufort. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19 from 2 to 5 pm at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.
