Anneliese J. Wilson

Hardeeville, SC - Anneliese J. Wilson, age 95, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Ridgeland Nursing Center.

Mrs. Wilson was born on September 9, 1923 in Germany, the daughter of the late Wilhilm and Johanna Gerwinn. After retiring from Gulfstream Aerospace she enjoyed volunteering with the Second Helpings Food Bank in Hardeeville. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Carney of Beaufort, SC; granddaughter, Stacey Carson (David, II) and their children, David Carson, III and Dominick Carson of Columbia, TN; grandson, Thomas Geiger (Melissa) of Mooresville, NC and their children, Devon Geiger of Fort Dobbs, IA as well as Hallie, Mason, and Mila Geiger, all of Mooresville, NC; adopted son, Melvin Hopkins of Hardeeville, SC; and daughters, Jodi Wilkie of Canton, GA and Ruby Wilson of Lakeland, FL.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the B Wing of Ridgeland Nursing Center for the care they provided to Mrs. Wilson during their 3 years together.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC 29936.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
