Anthony Bigos

Anthony Bigos of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Cranford, NJ died Friday, December 27, 2013. Mr. Bigos was born and raised in New Jersey and retired to Bluffton, SC where he resided for over twenty years. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and Pace University in New York City. He was an award winning credit insurance agent for Dun & Bradstreet for over thirty years. Tony was a veteran of World War II. He was an accomplished classical musician. Tony played Carnegie Hall and many other venues in the New York Metropolitan area. Tony loved golf, tennis, gardening, and was an early "foodie", who regularly sought out favorite restaurants in Manhattan, New Jersey, and South Carolina. He was a member of the Horticultural Society of New York as well as the American Horticultural Society. Mr. Bigos is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Marcia, as well as a son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and sister, all of New Jersey. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.
